HVAC Maintenance Contracts In Houston, TXAs either a homeowner, building owner or property manager, you are well aware that a failure of the HVAC system can result in significant backlash from the people who rely on you to keep the building comfortable. Because your reputation and bottom line are on the line, it’s important to keep an eye on these systems to see if they require maintenance or air conditioner repair. This quick checklist is intended to assist you in avoiding costly repairs and equipment shut-downs by keeping track of the most critical components of your equipment. Inspect your air handling unit as well, paying particular attention to the outdoor air inlet. Inspect the area surrounding the module to determine if any sources of contaminants exist which can cause contamination to spread through to the interior of the building. Examine the fan’s condition, paying particular attention to the blades and motor. If you notice areas of deterioration, make the necessary repairs or replacements. Checking your HVAC distribution system should be on your preventative maintenance checklist for your heating and air conditioning system. It is critical that air flow throughout the building, from the supply air to the return ventilation, is not obstructed. Examine any drain pans to ensure that there are no leaks or signs of mold growth in the pans. You’ll also need to replace or clean the air filters located in the furnace area. It may be beneficial to keep a maintenance calendar so that you can keep track of when new filters have been installed and when they need to be replaced again. Look At Your ThermostatAdditionally, thermostat controls should be included on your HVAC preventative maintenance checklist. Adjust the set points throughout the year, both in the summer and the winter, to ensure that your heating and air conditioning system is operating at peak efficiency. Make a note of the location of each device, as well as the operations that are controlled by that device. The teams repairing your system will have quick and easy access to this critical information in the event that you are unavailable or off-site at any time. Grease, dirt, tree branches, and bird feathers can all accumulate on outdoor units, making them vulnerable to contamination. Check the clearance around this HVAC equipment, as there should be approximately two feet of clearance around the intake area of both heat pumps and air conditioning units. If you have outdoor components, you should inspect them more frequently than other parts of your system, perhaps once a week. It’s also a good idea to walk through the house after a big storm because debris that falls during strong winds can become stuck near the air intake. This checklist should provide you with the tools you need to ask intelligent, pertinent questions and hold your service provider accountable for the terms of your preventative maintenance agreement. Do you have a maintenance agreement but do not have access to it? Always keep in mind that, while much of this troubleshooting can be accomplished on your own, repairs and maintenance should be performed by your HVAC vendor only, as most manufacturer warranties will not cover equipment that has been serviced by anyone other than a licensed HVAC technician. via Air Check Mechanical Service - https://www.aircheckms.com/ac-repair/hvac-maintenance-contracts/

What to Look for When Evaluating Air Conditioning Service AgreementsDid you know that when it comes to air conditioning service contracts, there are no regulations imposed by the federal government? In other words, not all air conditioning service contracts are created equal. When comparing service contracts from different providers, never make the mistake of assuming that you are comparing apples to apples. This is especially critical for air conditioning repair. The lack of regulation means that trust is a monster component of your relationship with your Houston HVAC provider. Although this is indeed a negative development, it does mean that reputable air conditioning service companies can tailor a contract to your specific needs, taking into consideration the age and condition of your equipment, the cooling requirements of your space and its occupants, and your budget. All you have to do now is double-check your contract to make sure everything is covered and that you’re getting the features you require.
A service contract can cover inspections only, preventative maintenance only, full labor coverage, and even full coverage for all labor and parts, depending on the terms of the contract. It is possible to renew your agreement with different terms for an additional year after it has been signed, if necessary. The below AC maintenance checklist can be used to compare tasks when you’re working with an air conditioning service company under contract. Not everyone requires all of the items on this air conditioning maintenance checklist, and you may be willing to forego some of them in order to keep the cost of the service as low as possible. Consult with your service provider to ensure that the tasks that are important to you are included in the maintenance package that you are paying to receive. When evaluating service contracts, be especially cautious of those that are written in legalese that is so complicated that you are unsure of what is covered and what is not. Dubious providers will use legalese often in order to skirt responsibilities. Customer service is important to a Air Check Mechanical, and we only write contracts that are clear and easy to understand. Your Spring AC Maintenance ChecklistThe following is a list of tasks that, depending on your equipment and the type of maintenance agreement you have, may be included in your air conditioning service contract:
Get To Know An HVAC Contractor You Can TrustNow that you have this AC maintenance checklist to use as a guide in evaluating the tasks that need to be completed, how do you go about selecting the most qualified company to complete them? You might think that the general contractor or mechanical contractor who installed your HVAC system is the best person to hire to keep it in good working condition. This is not necessarily true. Many installers are adamant about not getting involved in maintenance and will not even bring it up as a topic of conversation. Once the big job of installation is completed, they want to move on to the next customer without being distracted by the hassles of small maintenance tasks, which is where a solid HVAC company like Air Check Mechanical Service comes in. It is possible that they are not even qualified to maintain your system. When selecting an AC maintenance provider, it’s important to take into account the company’s reputation as well as the specifics of the AC maintenance contract rather than solely focusing on price. Companies that underbid in order to win your business are more likely to cut corners on service and only perform the bare minimum to keep the system running until the end of the contract, leaving out many of the critical tasks on our AC maintenance checklist. Turn to a professional HVAC contractor who specializes in service to keep your system in top condition and save money in the long run. As seasoned maintenance professionals, their goal is to collaborate with you to ensure that your equipment continues to operate at peak performance for many years to come. You will receive reasonable pricing, as well as the services of trained and certified professionals who will take good care of your equipment, diagnose problems, and perform dependable repairs. via Air Check Mechanical Service - https://www.aircheckms.com/ac-repair/spring-ac-maintenance-and-ac-service-contracts/ In the event that you’re considering the installation of a new air conditioning system, you’ve most likely come across a slew of rating acronyms on sales literature. Those abbreviations are all about the energy efficiency of the air conditioner, and they can be used to compare the efficiency of different air conditioner models. These ratings are extremely important because your HVAC system can account for as much as 50% of the total energy consumed in your home or commercial space. It’s just that the equipment manufacturers don’t make it all that easy to figure out how to interpret those numbers, which is frustrating. To help you understand the various air conditioning energy efficiency ratings, what they mean, and what numbers to look for, here’s a primer on the subject. Energy efficiency rating (SEER) is a measure of the energy efficiency of cooling equipment that is calculated based on a seasonal average rather than specific laboratory conditions. The seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) is the ratio of cooling output in British Thermal Units (BTU) divided by electricity consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh). This number provides you with the most accurate assessment of the unit’s efficiency over the course of the year, as determined by the manufacturer. Generally speaking, a higher SEER rating indicates that the unit is more energy efficient. The Department of Energy requires that all new air conditioning systems installed in northern states have a minimum efficiency rating of 13 according to federal regulations. In order to be installed in the warmer southern states, new systems installed since January 2015 must have a minimum rating of 14. The most energy-efficient central air conditioning systems available today have SEER ratings ranging from 20 to 28. Heat pumps and ductless mini-split systems are capable of achieving ratings of 30 or higher in some cases. How much money can you save by upgrading to a more energy-efficient vehicle? By upgrading from a SEER 10 to a SEER 13 air conditioner, you can save up to 30% on your energy consumption. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), every dollar invested in energy efficiency can yield a return on investment of two to three times the amount invested. In the case of equipment that is more than ten years old, upgrading to more energy-efficient equipment can pay for itself in a surprisingly short period of time. It’s possible that your older model is only rated 5 to 10. Using a newer cooling system with a SEER rating of 16 instead of an older unit with a rating of 8 saves half the money on operating costs (Energy Efficiency Ratio) The energy efficiency ratio (EER) of an air conditioner is a measurement of the cooling output in BTUs divided by the amount of electricity consumed in kilowatts. EER ratings are calculated under specific test conditions that represent peak load during the season’s highest temperatures, as opposed to the SEER rating, which is based on a seasonal average. A higher number indicates a system that is more energy efficient. When it comes to high-efficiency operation during the hottest months of the year, look for an EER rating greater than 11.6 and up to 16.2. Temperature ratings for heat pumps can reach as high as 19. Energy efficiency ratings for air conditioners are similar to those for automobiles in terms of miles per gallon (MPG). Using this analogy, you can think of the SEER rating as being equivalent to the MPG for city driving, and the EER rating as being equivalent to the MPG for highway driving It is critical to examine both in order to obtain an accurate picture of the unit’s performance under various operating conditions. Always remember that a unit with a high SEER rating will not necessarily have a high EER rating, and the opposite is true as well. The heat pump system efficiency factor (HSPF) is a measure of the efficiency of a heat pump system that provides both heat and air conditioning. Air source heat pumps have the ability to cycle in both directions, allowing them to be used to provide cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. The cooling efficiency of the unit is measured using the SEER and EER ratings, while the heating efficiency is measured using the HSPF rating. When expressed in kilowatt-hours, the heat pump system’s heat transfer efficiency (HSPF) is the ratio of the total space heating required during the heating season in BTU divided by the total electricity used by the heat pump system during the heating season. A higher HSPF number, like the SEER and EER numbers, indicates a more energy-efficient unit. Heat pumps with high heat transfer efficiency (HSPF) ratings of at least 8 and up to 13 are available today. Maintaining your air conditioner on a regular basis is the simplest and most effective way to save money on its energy consumption and thus save money. Clogged air filters, dirty vents, condensers that have accumulated grime, and worn parts all cause your system to work harder in order to produce the same cooling results, resulting in your system using more energy as a result of the increased workload. At the very least, have your system inspected, cleaned, and serviced twice per year. Not only will you save on energy costs, but you will also avoid equipment breakdowns, which can result in even greater savings. Set up a preventative maintenance contract with a reputable air conditioning service company like Air Check Mechanical Service to get the best rates on maintenance and to ensure that you don’t forget to do it. It’s important to shop around because not all maintenance contracts are created equal. The right provider will be able to tailor a contract to meet the specific needs of your company and its equipment. via Air Check Mechanical Service - https://www.aircheckms.com/ac-installation/air-conditioning-systems-and-efficiency-ratings/ 10 Ways to Make Your HVAC System More Energy Efficient and Save Money on Your Energy BillsDid you know that your HVAC system can account for as much as 50% of the total energy consumed by your building? It will not be long before the temperatures begin to soar into the 80s and 90s here in Houston, and your electricity bills will rise in tandem with the rising temperatures. How can you save money on cooling your building when you need to keep it cool? The good news is that there are practical ways to reduce the amount of energy your air conditioning system consumes. 1. Replace older, inefficient air conditioning and heating systems with newer, higher-efficiency systems.According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), every dollar invested in energy efficiency can yield a return on investment of two to three times the amount invested. In the case of equipment that is more than ten years old, upgrading to more energy-efficient equipment can pay for itself in a surprisingly short period of time. Check the SEER rating (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) on your air conditioner, which indicates how efficient the cooling equipment is during the summer months. The most energy-efficient systems available today have ratings between 14 and 18. It’s possible that your older model is only rated something like five or 10. When compared to an older cooling system with a SEER rating of 8, a newer cooling system with a SEER rating of 16 can cost half as much to operate. 2. Conduct an energy audit to determine your energy consumption requirements.Determine when different areas of the building are occupied, and then install programmable thermostats to reduce energy consumption when it is not required. When it comes to larger buildings, you can implement zoning and even computerized building automation systems to have more precise control over your energy consumption. 3. Ensure there are no air flow obstructionsWhen arranging furniture layouts and carpeting installations, make sure that air grilles and ductwork are not obstructed by the materials. It is necessary to consult with an HVAC professional to evaluate your system design if building occupants are purposefully blocking vents because the temperature is too cold. A simple change that does not waste energy is most likely all that is required to solve the problem. 4. Do a thorough clean-up.Make sure that leaves and other debris don’t accumulate around your outdoor air conditioning unit. This simple action keeps dirt from clogging up your system and ensures that airflow paths are not obstructed. Also, don’t forget about your rooftop unit! It’s possible that birds or insects will build nests in your attic, causing damage to your system. 5. Opt for equipment that has the ENERGY STAR label. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established strict energy efficiency standards for these units. Plus, to be fair, there aren’t really a lot of air conditioning units available that ARE NOT Energy Star Products. They can be up to 15 percent more efficient than conventional systems when operating at peak performance. According to the United States Department of Energy, these systems can save you between $3 and $4 per square foot in energy costs over the course of the equipment’s useful life span. In addition, you may be eligible for rebates from your utility company, depending on your situation. 6. Reevaluate your system when the building’s usage patterns shifts. As the use of a building changes over time, it is possible that the air conditioning system is no longer suitable for the current layout and usage. Remodeling, adding more heat-generating equipment (such as computers), changing interior walls, and rearranging cubicle layouts can all have an impact on the efficiency of your air conditioning system. Consult with an HVAC professional from Air Check Mechanical to ensure that the system is designed properly. Small adjustments can sometimes improve the efficiency of your system while also lowering your energy costs. 7. Make use of economizers. It is the job of energy economizers to determine when the outside air is sufficiently cool and dry to provide comfortable conditions inside. If the weather conditions are favorable, outside air can be used instead of running the air conditioner, resulting in a reduction in energy consumption. It’s a great idea, and the small upfront price is quickly paid for in savings. 8. Increase the temperature in the houseEven a small increase can help you save money on your energy bills while also improving the comfort of your building’s occupants and even increasing worker productivity. Healthcare professionals recommend temperatures between 68 degrees Fahrenheit and 78 degrees Fahrenheit for sedentary work, according to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). When the temperature was raised to 77°F, according to a study conducted by Cornell University, office workers’ productivity increased by 150 percent. Of course, somewhere in the band is OK as well. 9. Keep the heat out of the room. When it’s hot outside, use blinds and shades on windows facing west and south to keep the heat out. Being outside in the sun while your air conditioner is trying to cool you is counterproductive! If you are leaving for a long period of time, considering turning off the unit. 10. Don’t forget to keep up with regular maintenance.Maintaining your air conditioner on a regular basis is the simplest and most effective way to save money on its energy consumption and thus save money. Clogged air filters, dirty vents, condensers that have accumulated grime, and worn parts in your condenser all cause your system to work harder in order to produce the same cooling results, resulting in your system using more energy as a result of the increased workload. At the very least, have your system inspected, cleaned, and serviced once per year by a licensed Air Check Mechanical Service technician. Not only will you save on energy costs, but you will also avoid equipment breakdowns, which can result in even greater savings. via Air Check Mechanical Service - https://www.aircheckms.com/ac-repair/10-ways-to-increase-your-hvac-system-efficiency/ Five Furnace Maintenance TipsTexans are well aware of how quickly the weather can change in this state, from hot to bitterly cold when you least expect it. Having your furnace go out in the middle of the night is the absolute last thing you want to happen in that situation. Our goal at Air Check Mechanical Service is to be there for you when you need us – whether it’s to keep your furnace running well, repair your furnace, or even replace it – or to ensure your comfort is preserved. Naturally, we don’t want you to have to wake up in the middle of the night to a cold house (or certainly not with frozen water pipes!), so we’ve compiled our top six furnace maintenance ideas to keep you warm and snug all winter. 1. Do not wait until the cold weather arrives to inspect your furnace.Call it Murphy’s law, but it always seems to be the case that furnaces fail on the coldest night of the year. This is why every year, when the temperatures are still mild, you should have your furnace thoroughly inspected by a professional HVAC company like Air Check. This will allow you to take action quickly if it is discovered that your furnace has to be repaired or completely replaced. What’s more, you’re more likely to get a discount on furnace installation when the supply is high – which is of course in the spring and summer. 2. Check and replace your air filter. Is this fairly obvious? Yes. But, it’s one of the most effective things any homeowner can do to prolong the life of their furnace. Among other things, your air filter is responsible for catching particulates in your home such as dust, pollen, mold spores, and other contaminants. This is not only wasteful, but it can also cause your furnace to wear out more quickly, increase your energy bills, and impair the quality of the air you breathe. Consider signing up for a maintenance agreement, which ensures that we will visit every six months to take care of your HVAC. 3. Check to see if the blower motor is operating properly. The furnace blower motor is responsible for driving the fan that circulates air through the furnace. Once the heat exchanger has reached the desired temperature, air is forced through the heat exchanger by the blower motor. This helps to warm the air and disperse it around the house. Most furnace blowers not only supply air for the furnace, but they also provide air for the air conditioning system, which is a double benefit. The blower motor contains a large number of moving parts, and if they are not properly maintained, they can begin to fail. A noisy furnace blower may be indicative of a problem with the electric motor driving the blower or with the blower wheel itself. It is possible to hear high-pitched shrill sounds when two metal surfaces are grinding against one another. This could be caused by the blower wheel becoming dislodged from the blower motor’s shaft and scraping against the inside of the internal enclosure. A loud humming sound is usually indicative of an electrical issue. A professional technician can assist you in identifying the root of the problem and making necessary adjustments before the equipment begins to deteriorate and require full replacement. 4. Ensure that all vents and ductwork are clean.Take a trip around your house at the beginning of the winter season to ensure that all heating vents are open (unless you are closing them off for certain areas) and that nothing is stopping the vents from working properly. Vents may also be removed in order to clear out the ducts. You may also want to consider getting your ductwork inspected and cleaned by a professional, especially if it hasn’t been done in a long period of time. 5. Reduce the amount of energy consumed by the home’s heating system.Warm air can escape from your home through any cracks or openings in the structural shell, allowing cold winter air to flow in and warm air to escape. Sealing up the envelope of your home lowers the heat load, which is the amount of energy required to keep your home comfortably warm. The services of an HVAC contractor like Air Check Mechanical can help you discover the key causes of heating loss in your home by doing a home energy audit to evaluate where your home’s weaknesses are. Infrared cameras and sophisticated technology allow a heating professional to pinpoint the areas of your home where the most serious problems exist, and they may assist you in determining the ideal spots to make adjustments. Weather stripping windows and doors, sealing and insulating duct work, and adding insulation to the attic are all examples of projects that can be carried out. via Air Check Mechanical Service - https://www.aircheckms.com/furnace-repair/furnace-maintenance/ How Much Will Air Conditioner Repair Cost?Air conditioning is not only enjoyable, but if you’re talking about Air Check Mechanical Service’s business area of Houston, TX, it is also extremely necessary for your health when it is hot and humid outside in the summer. And exactly when was the Houston summer not hot and humid? (The answer is Never!) The air conditioner not only cools and dries your home, but it also circulates and filters the air as it does so. The bad news is that if the cold air is no longer blowing or if the system won’t switch on at all, it won’t last more than a few hours or days until you get a chance to call Southeast Houston’s best HVAC repair provider! An air conditioning maintenance visit typically costs between $200 and $400, with the average homeowner spending approximately $350 on filter cleaning, system resets, and unit cleaning on a typical AC maintenance call. But, different HVAC providers have different pricing, so in some cases those prices can be higher. The Most Common AC Repair Services and Average PricesThis is a pretty safe breakdown of how much air conditioning repairs will cost to help you determine if professional help is what you need. Replacement Cost of an Air Conditioning CompressorThe cost of replacing an air conditioner compressor is often between $1,000 and $2,000. In cases where the compressor may be broken, it may blow hot air, vibrate, or produce a loud noise when first turned on. Almost all parts within the air conditioning system are crucial, but your air conditioner compressor, on the other hand, is quite crucial. If it is not functioning properly, the air in your home simply will not cool. In some circumstances, it is more cost-effective to replace a compressor rather than repair a compressor. Repairing a Leaking Evaporator Coil Can Also Be ExpensiveThe cost of repairing an evaporator coil leak tends to range between $1,200 to $2,200. Pinhole leaks in the evaporator coils can be caused by a combination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and also moisture present in the air. Biological development and corrosion in the coil tend to be exacerbated by the fact that the refrigerant travels through it in both liquid and gaseous forms. For air conditioning units to function properly and to ensure healthy indoor air quality, it is often necessary to perform coil maintenance. Replacing Your ThermostatThe thermostat can fail, leading you to believe that the problem is with the air conditioner. Some problems can be solved by just changing a setting on the computer or device. A team of HVAC professionals can assist you if this does not work. When it comes to the expense of changing your thermostat, it all starts with the type you select. Depending on the equipment and staff, the cost of a new thermostat might range from $75 to $125, depending on whether you go old school or demand the latest technology. Inexpensive Air Duct CleaningIt costs between $200 and $700 on average to repair an air conditioning duct system. As with any HVAC system, cold air cannot travel through a house if there are no air ducts installed. In order to avoid higher cooling expenses, cracks and leaks in the ducts should be corrected. Incorrectly installed or maintained air ducts make the system more complicated and result in poor performance. It is more expensive to install a new duct system than to go with a poor one, but it has the potential to significantly increase energy efficiency. The cost of replacing the ducting can be anywhere from $1,400 for the ductwork alone all the way up to $5,600 and above for the full home ductwork replacement.
Recharge Your Air Conditioning SystemThe cost of an AC recharge tends to be between $125 and $300 every year. Typically, refrigerant refills are performed after minor leaks have been corrected. When the device is in proper operating order, it is rarely necessary to recharge it. The necessity to recharge Freon on a regular basis suggests the presence of an underlying problem that may necessitate the replacement of a component or a whole system. After the leak has been rectified, it is usual procedure to recharge the system. Repairing an air conditioning capacitor can be expensive. It costs between $300 and $400 to repair an AC capacitor. To get the system up and running, capacitors offer power. They tend to empower the engine by sending bursts of energy to get it going or to keep it going. When working with the compressor, external devices, and the fan motor, the capacitor is extremely efficient. But, if it breaks down, it often takes the entire system with it.
Do I Need a Window or a Windowless Air Conditioner? If you have a window AC that is too small for your home, it will use a lot of energy, and will not be able to keep you cool enough to live comfortably in your home. This is why choosing the appropriate air conditioner size is critical. Meanwhile, it will be more expensive and require more electricity to operate an air conditioning installation that is too large for your home. Due to the fact that larger air conditioners use less electricity, purchasing a larger air conditioner may result in your home becoming warmer overall. One teacher decided to give me an F every end of both semesters because she herself couldn’t keep up with the work, too many fights, sometimes we don’t get a chance to learn anything because of loud kids; it’s a blessing I’ve made it to the next grade. Some students are in gangs, violence is something you’d see at least or more than twice a month, and if so there would be multiple fights a day. There has been at least over 15 fights at that school; sometimes police officers fighting children. Sexual diseases are lurking in the area, since that area of Houston has the highest rate of AIDS. Speaking of sex, there was once a disgusting used condom found on the floor. There are some teachers and students with potential and I did like a few of my teachers there. Some students were robbed at gunpoint by other students and some teacher had an affair with a student. If you want to learn, don’t go over there.

The management is very professional, courteous, and helpful; along with the motel staff members. The rooms are clean, sanitized, and neatly maintained before purchasing a room, and upon request. I highly recommend this motel to anyone who is need of lodging for a day, a week, or monthly, as the price range is within reasonable budgeting. Jordan Patton 1/5 2 months ago Worst motel in Houston, not even worth how cheap it is. The management and employees are rude and disgusting people. They need jobs that don’t involve interacting with people. Avoid at all cost

As the company is growing David Ortega 1/5 a week ago The supervisor (Lora) I worked under was very insecure and very unprofessional. She was running a store during company time. Her customers were always first. Very unfair. The warehouse is a reflection on management and was the worst place I’ve ever worked for. Inventory is pencil whipped and not accurate. Management laid me off telling me their going a different direction. The only direction you guys are going are either backwards or in circles. Management are idiots and lose really good people over trash that steal from the company. d dabro11 1/5 a month ago I’m pretty sure this place has zero professionalism. I recently applied got a call after a few weeks. The HR rep Priscilla asked if I could come for an interview on 4 hours notice when I responded that I couldn’t she said she would have to follow up never heard back. This company has the same job listings posted every other month. If the main qualification is being about to drop everything and meet without any notice I can only imagine that they aren’t hiring qualified applicants. I would warn anyone applying to do some research before making a change to this company. I replied to the response and heard nothing back. The replies are solely to try and save face. My suggestion run far away from this company.

Keep Your AC Unit CleanKeeping your AC unit clean is an important part of maintaining your unit’s efficiency after an AC Tune Up. When coils get clogged up with dirt and debris, such as leaves and grass, the system has to work much harder to cool the home, which may end up calling for air conditioner repair. As a result, this will cause the temperature inside to rise which will make it more difficult for you to maintain your desired comfort. The average cost for a tune-up is $200-$400, which includes cleaning the condenser coil, checking refrigerant levels in your system, and replacing any parts that might need replaced. Naturally, more expensive parts such as evaporator coils are not included in that estimate. 2. Change Your Air Filter RegularlyAir filters are an integral part of a healthy home. Not only do they protect your lungs from the impurities in the air, but they also help to keep your HVAC system running smoothly and efficiently. This is because air filters capture pollutants that cause wear and tear on the air handler and other key components in the HVAC system. If you don’t change your air filter regularly, dust and dirt will accumulate on it and can cause poor airflow or clog up the system. This might lead to higher energy bills, more frequent breakdowns, and a shorter lifespan for your HVAC unit. Additionally, if you live in an area with particulates in the air that are harmful to your respiratory system, then this might be an even greater issue that needs addressing. 3. Check the Air Ducts for LeaksAir duct cleaning may seem like an unimportant service, but it is often one of the most important. Air ducts can be susceptible to leakage and accumulation of debris and can also be damaged or crushed under some circumstances. These things could cause major problems for your HVAC system and lead to expensive repairs. 4. Add Vent Covers to Reduce DraftsVent covers are hugely important for protecting the vents from dust and other particles that could easily clog up the vents. Vent covers are a must-have for any business or home owner because they keep the often-used vents clean and protected from dust and other particles. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so there is something to fit any vent, as well as different materials that can be used including metal, plastic, or other materials. The important thing is that the vent cover protects the vents from getting dirty and becoming unusable. 5. Consider installing an Air Purifier or Dehumidifier in Your Home or OfficeAir purifiers and dehumidifiers are great tools for improving indoor air quality. They can help to reduce the amount of pollutants in the air, such as dust, pollen, pet dander, and mold spores. The best option for you will depend on the severity of your symptoms and the types of allergens in your home or office. If you are experiencing severe allergies or asthma symptoms, an air purifier is a good choice for you. If you have mild allergies or if there are no allergens present in your home or office space, a dehumidifier is a better option for you. Additionally, you could just simply consider having an IAQ device installed during your AC tune up in Houston TX by a certified Air Check Mechanical Service technician.
